The Testimony of John the Baptist
- What did John say about Jesus that was so important?
John said that Jesus was the Messiah - and that eternal life come through Jesus Christ.
- What miracle did Jesus perform at the Wedding in Cana?
Jesus changed the water into wine
- What was one of results of this miracle?
Some of the disciples began to believe in Jesus.
- What were the people suppose to remember at the time of Passover?
The people were to remember how God freed them from slavery in Egypt when Moses was their leader.
- What was happening in the Temple that made Jesus angry?
There were people buying and selling animals and exchanging money.
- What did Jesus do in the Temple?
Jesus made the merchants and money lenders leave the temple. Jesus said that the Temple was a House of Prayer - but the merchants had made it into a market.
- Nicodemus was impressed with Jesus Christ. What attracted his attention?
Nicodemus was impressed with the signs that Jesus had performed - most likely healing the sick.
- What did Nicodemus affirm when he spoke to Jesus?
He affirmed that no one could perform the signs that Jesus had done unless God were with him.
- What important truth do we learn about the Kingdom from Jesus’ meeting with Nicodemus?
To enter the Kingdom of God, you must be born anew or born again.
