The Evangelist

The Lord Jesus Christ commanded believers to evangelize so that people might devote themselves wholeheartedly to Jesus Christ and the Gospel. This internal transformation begins when someone receives faith from the Holy Spirit to accept the Good News of salvation in Jesus and the exclusive lordship of Jesus. If this Christian initiation has not occurred, Spirit-filled transformation does not occur and both doctrine and ministry are empty. When evangelism has taken place and people have a dynamic relationship with Jesus, then theories become meaningful and works please Christ.

Because receiving the Gospel is vital for spiritual health, it is of utmost importance that parishes, churches, and small communities should evangelize. This material helps such groups provide the complete proclamation truly and clearly through a series of retreats. After the retreats are concluded and the groundwork for the Christian life is laid, ongoing and meaningful discipleship can and should take place.
