Task List Website Development DVD Pilot Project – The Passion Spanish Distribution Worldcast
Resources
Website Development. The design team is making enhancements related to broadcaster support and education resources. Worldcast – In Process. This option will provide for visitors to sample the programs in the available languages (English, Mandarin, Romanian, Russian, Spanish). DVD Pilot Project – The Passion. Gospel Light Worldwide has provided an ‘International Publishing Agreement’ to grant non-exclusive rights to artwork related to the life of Jesus Christ. Preproduction efforts have been initiated. Broadcaster Resources. The IH Radio network (20 stations) will be promoting the Story of the Messiah by broadcasting public service announcements. A library of spot announcements is being produced in collaboration with IH Radio. These audio resources will be available to all broadcasters in generic form or customized for specific networks or radio stations. Educational and Church Resources. A pilot project has been initiated by the San Francisco Archdiocese with the intent of making the Story of the Messiah available as curricula in their 64 elementary and 14 high schools. These resources will also be available to Christian and home schools in addition to churches. Broadcast Network. The infrastructure is being developed for the Messiah Story Internet radio network. The objective is to create the structure so that new languages can be efficiently added to the network as they become available. International Distribution. The international versions will be offered as downloads from our ‘com’ site. These downloads will be available anywhere in the world where the visitor has Internet capability. Spanish Distribution. The Spanish version has been completed. Audio CDs will be produced and made available using a variety of media. It is anticipated that HCJB Global will make the program available to approximately 500 affiliate stations. Another network of stations along the USA-Mexico border will also broadcast the program. In addition, there are over 2,000 other radio stations in Latin America that will be offered the program. The programs will also be available on our website. Solar-Powered MP3 Player. ‘The Story of the Messiah’ is available on the MegaVoice Ambassador in five languages (English, Mandarin, Romanian, Russian, Spanish). As new languages are produced, they will be available on the device. Future Tasks: 3rd Quarter 2008 Broadcaster Resources.A variety of resources are being developed to support broadcasters. The program resources are in English and will be available in the other program languages beginning with Spanish. Educational and Church Resources. The English print version of the training manual will be available on the Messiah Story websites in June. These resources are currently being translated into Spanish. Efforts will be made to include the other languages where the audio program is available. Future Tasks: 4th Quarter 2008 Worldcast. (1) This option will provide for visitors to sample the programs in the available languages. (2) A Spanish website will be developed as the model for localized resources in other languages. Broadcast Network. The infrastructure is being developed for the Messiah Story Internet radio network. The localized program versions will be offered as downloads from our ‘com’ site. These downloads will be available anywhere in the world where the visitor has Internet capability. EBook. An EBook version of the he English print version will be developed. It is proposed that similar versions be developed for each program language. Audio Planning and Preproduction Arabic. The contract for translation has been executed and the translators are engaged in translating the audio script. Audio production arrangements will be completed when the translation is finished. Farsi. The opportunity has developed to produce a Farsi version in collaboration with International Antioch Ministries (IAM). IAM telecasts daily from the Northern California area. Hindi. The Evangelical Association India (Richard Howell) has agreed to develop a Hindi version of the ministry tools and the Story of the Messiah. Portuguese. There is a substantial interest in Brazil and openness to the Gospel. A request for a proposal (RFP) will be developed in effort to encourage the production of this version of the program. Audio Projects in Production Swahili. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2008. Nepalese. The project is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter 2008. Deferred Project Bahasa. The audio scripts are being translated into Bahasa and will be uploaded to an ftp server. This project will be deferred until such time as a qualified producer is available. Summary The Lord has been gracious in blessing the efforts for the English version of the various resources to be made available in other languages. To God be the glory. |
